Overview

Uswitch Power Hours turns your smart meter into a small earner without switching supplier. Link your meter in the free Uswitch app and you get 10 free hours of electricity: pick a five-hour slot, use power as normal, and Uswitch refunds what you used (up to £5 per session).

Once connected you're also enrolled in Reduce & Earn sessions – National Grid demand-flexibility events, typically a few each week in autumn and winter, where you're paid for every kWh you cut below your normal usage (or use up when there's excess renewable power). Users report around £2 a month from regular sessions, and you keep 100% of what you earn.

Important Terms
