Barclays – Up to £300 Switch Bonus

Overview

Barclays is one of the UK's biggest high-street banks. New customers who switch to a Barclays Bank Account get £150 once the switch and salary criteria are met, then £30 a month for up to 5 months for keeping the account active — up to £300 in total.

How to Claim

1. Click the link on this page, download the Barclays app and open a sole Barclays Bank Account (complete the application within 21 days of starting it).
2. Within 30 days of opening, complete a full Current Account Switch Service (CASS) switch from another UK bank — the switch must bring across 3 active Direct Debits.
3. Within 30 days of opening, get at least £2,000 paid in from a qualifying source — salary by Bacs from an employer, a state or private pension, or a transfer from a UK business account (e.g. your sole-trader account).
4. The £150 switch reward arrives within 28 working days of meeting the criteria.
5. Each calendar month after that, make 10 debit card purchases and receive £2,000+ from a qualifying source to earn £30 — up to 5 months (£150).

Requirements

• You must NOT have had any open Barclays current account on or before 1 October 2026
• You must never have received a Barclays switch (CASS) bonus before
• Sole Barclays Bank Account only — joint accounts and the Barclays Basic Current Account don't qualify
• 18+ UK resident; account opened in the Barclays app (or online if you don't have a UK mobile number)
• Full CASS switch (not partial) including 3 active Direct Debits
• £2,000+ a month from a qualifying source: employer salary by Bacs, state or private pension by Bacs, or a transfer from a UK business account (even in your own name). Transfers between personal accounts don't count

Important Terms

• Offer runs from 1 October 2026 until withdrawn — no end date announced yet, so don't wait
• The £150 is paid within 28 working days of meeting the switch criteria; each £30 is paid within 28 working days of the end of the qualifying month
• Each month's £30 is judged separately — miss one month and you just miss that £30, not the rest
• The account must still be open when each reward is paid
• Holding a Barclaycard, Barclays savings account or mortgage does not exclude you — only current accounts count

Tips

• You need real income going in (salary, pension or business-account transfers) — moving money between your own personal accounts won't count, so it doesn't suit a burner-account switch. Self-employed? Pay yourself £2,000 a month from your business account.
• 10 small card payments a month is easy: split your coffee, groceries or travel across separate transactions.
