TfL Weekend Hopper – Unlimited Bus & Tram Travel for £1.75

Overview

Transport for London is running a Weekend Hopper trial this summer: unlimited bus and tram journeys all day for the price of a single £1.75 fare, every Saturday and Sunday from 25 July to 31 August 2026, plus bank holiday Monday 31 August. The normal daily bus cap is £5.25, so you save up to £3.50 a day.

How to Claim

1. Travel on any London bus or tram on a Saturday or Sunday (or bank holiday Monday 31 August) during the offer period.
2. Touch in with contactless or Oyster as normal, using the same card or device for every journey that day.
3. You're charged one £1.75 fare — every further bus or tram journey that day is free. The discount applies automatically; there's nothing to register for.

Requirements

• Pay as you go with a contactless card/device or Oyster card.
• Use the same card or device all day — switching cards means you're charged separately on each.

Important Terms

• Buses and trams only — Tube, DLR, Elizabeth line, Overground and National Rail are charged separately.
• Runs from 04:30 on Saturday 25 July until 23:59 on Monday 31 August 2026, weekends plus the August bank holiday Monday.
• It's a six-week trial; the standard Hopper fare (unlimited changes within an hour) continues as normal on weekdays.

Tips

• Plan bus-only days out at weekends — from your second journey of the day you're already saving.
• Buses cover almost everywhere the Tube does if you're not in a hurry — pair it with a walk and you can do a full London day out for £1.75.
