Bank of Scotland - £175 Switch Bonus

Overview

Bank of Scotland is offering £175 to new customers who switch their main current account using the Current Account Switch Service (CASS). The new account must be opened between 19 May 2026 and 29 June 2026, and the switch started by 29 June 2026.

Unusually for a UK switch bonus, there's no minimum pay-in requirement — just a full CASS switch with three active direct debits transferred from your old bank.

How to Claim

1. Open a new Bank of Scotland Classic, Silver or Platinum current account online, in branch or by phone between 19 May and 29 June 2026.
2. Use the Current Account Switch Service (CASS) to transfer all your active credits and debits from a bank account at a different bank — this will close your old account.
3. Make sure the switch includes the transfer of at least 3 active Direct Debits from your old account.
4. Start your switch by 29 June 2026.
5. £175 is paid into your new account as a cash credit within 14 working days of your switch starting.

Important Notes

• Lloyds Banking Group rule: not eligible if you've received any switching bonus since 01 January 2023 for switching to a Lloyds, Bank of Scotland or Halifax account.
• Can't switch from: a Halifax or Lloyds current account (same banking group).
• Account type exclusions: Student Current Account, Smart Start, Under 19's, and Basic Account do not qualify — must be Classic, Silver or Platinum.
• Internal upgrades don't count: changing an existing Bank of Scotland account to a different BoS account isn't a qualifying switch.
• DDs set up after the switch starts don't count — only DDs already active on your old account that transfer across. Standing orders and recurring card payments don't count either.
• Joint accounts: only one £175 paid per joint account. Either party having received a Lloyds Group bonus since 01 January 2023 disqualifies the whole application.
• One per customer, ever.
• Offer can be withdrawn without notice at any time — apply sooner rather than later.
